Day 2,3,4, Reykjavik, Iceland

Day 2
On our 2nd day in Reykjavik we went for a long drive in a blizzard to hike to a waterfall in the great Atlantic rift area of  Þingvellir. My brother stayed in the car because it was to cold for him. It was still a blizzard when we got to the top and I was freezing so we left not to long after. Next we drove to Geysir, where we saw Strokkur (The Churn) that erupts every 10 minutes. It made my brother and my Mom jump because it erupted right when we walked up to it. After we went to Gullfoss (Golden Falls) Waterfall. I liked how when you looked down it it looked like it went into nowhere. Then we went to the gift shop. Me and my Mom bought an Iceland hat and my brother got a vanilla muffin and pencils. Then we went to an hot outdoor pool.

Day 3
We went to go to the another cave called the Raufarhólshellir lava cave but the entrance was full of wind blown snow so we couldn't go in. So we drove back through a blizzard to go home when we saw giant waves splashing up against the rock barriers of Þorlakshofn . We walked over to get pictures, after about 10 minutes it started hailing and storming bad, so we went to the Blue Lagoon for a swim. It was really cool, it's an outdoor natural geothermal spa resort, when you walk in there are cooler spots and hotter spots and special boxes located around the pool with silica mud in them. Silica mud is a pure white geothermal mud that you apply to your face.
